If you’ve been to Labette Health
recently, undoubtedly you have noticed the abundance of hardhats
and the sound of construction. That’s the sound
of progress!
2006 marked the completion of Phase 1 of
our $30 million renovation project…renovations to our
power plant. Groundbreaking for Phase 2 took place in
May 2007 and includes renovations and additions in numerous
areas of our facility. Construction will be ongoing for
the next 18 months to 2 years.
We are so excited about all the ways you
and your family will benefit from our expansion and renovation
project. All these improvements will help us to center
around you better than ever before. Below is the list

Major Improvements
Surgery Suites
- 2 New 600 square feet operating suites and renovation of
2 existing operating suites to all state-of-the-art suites
- Addition of 2 new scope rooms
- 13 new Pre-Op / Post-Op beds
- New recovery lounge
- New sterile services
- Expanded locker and lounge spaces for doctors and nursing
staff
- New Pre-surgery admissions and testing space
Radiology
- New Dedicated Women's Center to include Mammography, Dexa
Scan and space for Patient Education
- Private waiting and dressing areas
- New reading rooms and radiologist offices
