The Parsons Lions Club will sponsor a 5K run to raise awareness of diabetes. The run, which will begin at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, September 10, also will include a one-mile fun run/walk for adults and children. The Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services performed an inspection of Labette Health EMS to ensure compliance with Kansas administrative regulations and statutes. The review included operational and medical protocols, ambulances and equipment, equipment list, garaging, call schedule, attendant's certification cards, daily record of ambulance responses, and the service quality improvement program. Based on current state law, Labette Health EMS met all minimum requirements as set forth by the Board.
