NANCY
MILLER
CARDIAC REHABILITATION
There's a
lot of love in Nancy Miller's heart and she expresses it
openly in the ways she spends much of her time. Nancy not
only loves to make music, she loves to share music. It makes
her world go round, and it warms the hearts of many. Nancy
sings with the church choir and frequently plays piano for
seniors, the women's group, and at nursing homes. Besides
creating music to the ears with her playing, Nancy also makes
music for the eyes through a symphony of colors in her expressively
crafted pieces of cross stitch, embroidery, knitting and
crochet work. She loves being around people and appreciates
her family.
"I love people, especially my
family – our three wonderful children and their families – eight
grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and above all my marvelous
husband, Jim. He has been so attentive."
It was problems with Nancy's heart
that really got Jim's attention. He stayed right by her side
through several trying times when she needed some special cardiac
care. The staff of Labette Health was also right there for Nancy
and the couple appreciated their attention to detail. While she
was at Labette Health for a test in 2003, they found that Nancy
had an aneurysm on her Aorta and immediately sent her to Joplin
for surgery. After surgery, she enrolled in the Labette Health
cardiac rehabilitation program. In 2004, she suffered a heart
attack at her home, then had to undergo triple by-pass surgery.
Once again, she came back to Labette Health for her rehab treatments.
"I feel that Labette Health Cardiac
Rehab is doing a great job. They care – all the staff are
wonderful, caring people. Each time I came they really helped
me. I highly recommend that all who need this treatment be sure
to follow it through at Labette Health. Their strength is caring
for their patients." |
