TRACI JOURNOT
OBSTETRICS NURSE

Family as well as community are very important to Traci Journot. She cherishes the time she gets to spend with family members, and especially likes to watch her children play sports. But family is also very important to Traci when it comes to her work as a Registered Nurse in Obstetrics at Labette Health.

"Being a nurse is something I've wanted to do since I was a young girl. Helping people to complete their families and fulfill their dreams is the part of my job I enjoy most."

Traci grew up in Parsons. She enjoyed the family setting of her small community so much that the only hospital she ever wanted to work for was Labette Health. They were equally pleased to have her join their staff. In fact, Labette Health paid Traci's tuition and employed her part time, as a PRN, while she studied nursing at Labette Community College to get her Associates Degree. According to patients, Traci is exceptional at treating them like family and Traci likes being part of an entire team that makes the people they care for feel that bond.

"The caring, compassionate, knowledgeable staff at Labette Health makes this small town hospital a step above other hospitals in the area. The whole staff treats patients like they are family."
