D. For Margaret it’s a family affair, literally, that keeps drawing her to Labette Health, time after time! All three of Kevin and Margaret’s children have been born at Labette Health. And she wouldn’t have it any other way. Her third child, daughter Kenna, was born July 25, 2005. She was also welcomed by big sister and brother, 15 month old Elise, and 5 year old Brenden. “From the moment I arrived until I was discharged, the OB Nursing staff took exceptional care of me. I never once felt I was being pushed aside for anything – my care was number one – that’s how the nurses made me feel.” Margaret said the individual care – something she saw lacking at bigger hospitals, and the dedicated one on one treatment, meant she was never left waiting or wondering about unanswered questions. That care was extended to her family as well. “They were always courteous and prompt for anything I needed and that goes for my family as well. Questions or concerns we had were immediately addressed. The support I received form the staff was wonderful. I have been to other OB Departments in other hospitals visiting friends through the years and I can honestly say there is no comparison when it comes to making you feel so at ease and relaxed. When I was discharged I felt that if I ever had a question I could call the OB staff anytime -- and I did do just that after the birth of my second child. "The OB staff made the birth of my daughter a truly wonderful experience and that is something I will treasure forever.
