CHERIE ALLISON
RN, THE CANCER CENTER OF KANSAS

A little hope goes a long way and makes a big difference.  With their exuberant spirit and tender loving care, Cherie Allison along with her fellow coworkers who staff  The Cancer Center of Kansas, located in Labette Health,  transmit a positive feeling of hope and comfort to their patients. And that's one of the goals they truly enjoy reaching.

"I wanted to become certified in Chemotherapy and work in oncology to expand my nursing knowledge and skills, but more than any other part of my job, I enjoy caring for our patients the most. The people I work for are exceptional – always striving to do things more efficiently and keep patient care as a top priority. We frequently work with lab, scheduling, radiology and ultrasound, and are continually impressed with their willingness to accommodate our patients' needs."

When she's not at work, Cherie dedicates her relaxing time to reading, knitting, or scrap booking, and playing with her son.  But when she is at work, she is dedicated to her profession.

"It is a privilege to be part of the latest cancer treatments right here in Parsons, KS.  it is encouraging that our patients do not have to drive very far to receive the most up to date treatment protocols."
