Chaplains
Labette Health chaplains believe
your spiritual health influences your physical health.
Our role is to help you reclaim your spiritual strength
so your body can heal. Our staff consists of many interfaith
chaplains ready to serve you as best they can.
During your hospital stay, you may receive
good news of health or frightening news of illness. We
are here to make sure you don't have to face the news alone.
We will work with you to make this a meaningful time in
your spiritual journey. A few of the services we provide
include.:
- Talking with you about your concerns
- Praying with you
- Providing support to your family
- Helping with difficult decisions
- Visiting with you before surgery if possible
- Calling your pastor, priest or rabbi
- Celebrating your joys of new life and health with you
If you would like to talk with a chaplain
or have a chaplain visit a patient, please ask a nurse
to contact them or call Rev. John Schaich at 620-820-5288.
Chapel
The chapel, located on the first floor opposite the admitting
lobby, is available anytime for meditation or prayer.
